ACLU of Kansas

The American Civil Liberties Union of Kansas is a non-profit and non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting the civil rights and liberties of all people living in Kansas. The ACLU of Kansas works for policy change to expand and strengthen civil liberties, provides legal counsel, and acts as an ally and an advocate for people who are denied the rights guaranteed to them by the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. 

Advocates for Immigrant Rights & Reconciliation (AIRR)

Advocates for Immigrant Rights and Reconciliation (AIRR) educates, organizes, and inspires community members to create a network that supports and empowers the undocumented immigrant community in the greater Kansas City area. It seeks to uplift the voices of the immigrant community and provide them with the tools they need to better protect themselves and their families.

American Immigration Lawyers Association - Missouri/Kansas Chapter

The American Immigration Lawyers Association is the national association of immigration lawyers established to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advance the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its members.

Amnesty International - Kansas City Chapter (Local #115)

Amnesty International is the world’s largest grassroots human rights organization. As a global movement of millions of people demanding human rights for all people, no matter who they are or where they are, it includes hundreds of local community groups across the United States.  

Community Health Council of Wyandotte County

Community Health Council of Wyandotte County is a non-profit, 501 (c)3 community health collaborative of hospitals, safety net clinics, federally-qualified health clinics (FQHCs), mental health providers, public health departments, academic research institutions, and health care funding organizations. It seeks to improve health and health care for the people of Wyandotte County, ensuring that residents are represented in matters of health design and policy, as well as identify and maximize opportunities for collaboration, planning, and implementation of effective community health improvement initiatives..

Cross Border Network 

The Cross Border Network for Justice and Solidarity is a grassroots organization based in Kansas City which recognizes the common interests of working people in North America and builds ties for common action among them.

El Centro, Inc.

El Centro, Inc.  is a not-for-profit corporation working to strengthen communities and improve the lives of Latinos and others through educational, social, and economic opportunities.  It has three locations in Kansas City, Kansas, and Olathe and serves more than 12,000 individuals and families per year.

Grandview Park Presbyterian Church

Grandview Park Presbyterian Church is located in Kansas City, Kansas, and seeks to serve as a community of faith, spiritually connected to the community, reflecting the diversity of neighborhood in a church that is full.

Immigrant Justice Advocacy Movement (IJAM)

Immigrant Justice Advocacy Movement (IJAM) is the only interfaith community organization solely focused on immigration issues in the KC metro area and seeks to create systemic change in the broken immigration system by utilizing community organizing principles and developing relationships that are rooted in faith values..

Kansas Appleseed is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization dedicated to the belief that Kansans, working together, can build a state full of thriving, inclusive, and just communities. Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equality (MORE2)

Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equality (MORE2) is a social justice organization representing different faith traditions, cultural backgrounds, races, and economic means. The organization has grown to thirty-two congregations and many individual members and seeks to transform communities, building a Kansas City area that embraces all people and offers everyone the opportunity to achieve their greatest potential.

Sister Therese Bangert

Sister Therese Bangert is the social justice coordinator for Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. She has served as a chaplain for rthe police and fire departments in Kansas City, Kansas, for more than 20 years. 

Vibrant Health Wyandotte

Vibrant Health Wyandotte provides access to respectful, empowering, culturally sensitive and appropriate high-quality health care for the community, regardless of socio-economic obstacles. It seeks to be the model for healthcare by reducing health disparities and increasing access to care among the most needy in our Wyandotte County community and surrounding areas..
